Up the main escalators in Oxford Street Virgin,

And the huge enormous screen is showing something odd: An TV show of some sort, instantly recognizable as being both quite old and from the BBC. A bunch of kids are arguing at a table, first one be-suited little chap then the other while two girls watch. Fair enough, but there are three million screens in the shop, why's this in pride of place? Then the younger of the girls starts to speak, and with one glimpse of That Overbite, it's clear.

Here's to Sophie Wilcox, star of the 1988 version of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, and one of the few actresses whose birthday I know (because she's exactly as old as me). Hope you've been enjoying being 30, wherever you are.
