Hot Fuzz!

Firstly, as you may or may not be aware, the people who made Shaun of the Dead and Spaced have a new film, Hot Fuzz. I'm only aware of the poster for same, which has Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as UK police officers and the slogan "Big Cops. Small Town. Moderate Violence". This not-exactly wildean joke seems nevertheless to strike a chord of comedy with me that makes me grin.

Secondly (mostly of interest to Londoners) through what sounds like some hilarious clerical error, there is an entire festival (Feb 3-18) of cinema celebrating its release - in the ICA! Films on display include Man On Fire, The Last Boy Scout (possibly with talk by Tony Scott afterwards), Electra Glide In Blue, Hard-Boiled, Sudden Impact, and a Point Break / Bad Boys II double bill. There is also the premiere on the 10th, though they're being a bit of a dick about that: you have to buy a ticket (£18/£16 concessions/£14 members) to a double bill of Hot Fuzz at 6, Q&A session afterwards, and little known 70's cop thriller The Super Cops at 11.30.

So a) My membership card says Member + 1 Guest. Does this mean that I can extend the members price to someone else? and b) Does any of this sound like something you might want to do? Surely the idea of seeing Point Break in the ICA must appeal to someone's sense of humour.
